We conduct research and education within the areas of laser-based combustion diagnostics and chemical modeling of combustion phenomena. We are a separate division and are part of the Department of Physics at Lund University. Combustion Physics is since 2001 located in the Enoch Thulin-laboratory at the Physics Department. The general aim of the activity is to increase the basic understanding of combustion processes through experimental as well as theoretical research.

Per-Erik has got a M.Sc. degree in Engineering Physics at Lund Institute of Technology in 1985 and defended his thesis at the Division of Combustion Physics in 1991. He became Docent in 1996, Senior lecturer in 1998, and is since 2002 Professor.
